NDIS Nutrition & Dietetics
Welcome to Bite Me Nutrition.
We at Bite Me Nutrition believe that everyone should have access to quality nutrition care.
We offer services to support people with disability to remove barriers, reach their individual goals, and make sustainable changes to enhance their quality of life.
Our team of experienced dietitians understands the unique challenges faced by people with disability when it comes to accessing appropriate nutrition and dietary advice. That’s why we offer NDIS services to provide tailored, evidence-based meal plans and nutrition support that ensure a positive change to their health and wellbeing.
At Bite Me Nutrition, we recognise that each individual has their own story, and believe it’s through unconditional positive regard and valuing client-voice that we achieve the best outcomes. We forge respectful, trusting relationships with our clients, ensuring they feel seen and supported throughout our time together.
While the NDIS is a valuable scheme, we recognise the vital role of effective practitioner advocacy and are committed to supporting continuity of care for each of our clients. We advocate strongly for our clients both to stakeholders and to the NDIA, pairing our expertise with a deep understanding of the participant’s unique needs, and mapping these carefully to the goals listed on their NDIS plan.
Our NDIS services cover a wide range of dietary needs and services including:
- realistic strategies for managing nutrition-related conditions (such as diabetes, high cholesterol, malnutrition, high blood pressure, obesity, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and mental health complications)
- assistance with meal planning and prepping
- education and resources to support shopping and understanding nutrition labels
- nutritional management of medication related symptoms (such as disrupted dopamine signalling, appetite suppression or unwanted weight gain)
- specialised meal plans
- support for feeding difficulties
Where are we located?
All Bite Me Nutrition services are accessible Australia wide via Telehealth, allowing clients to access nutrition advice from wherever they feel most comfortable, whether that be their living room, the local park, or even from their bed without the extra funding required for home visits.
This mode of service delivery enables us to connect with participants via a computer, tablet or smart phone, where we can see and talk to one another via the webcam and share our screen to provide food product examples and education. Bite Me Nutrition sets itself apart from many other Telehealth providers by investing in first-class audio-visual equipment to ensure sound and picture quality are of a high standard.er
